People who are a bit familiar with my photography know that waterfalls and
mountain streams are one of my favorite subjects.
The use of long shutter speeds makes the water look very silky and adds a
bit of magic to a picture. I like this effect very much.

During our stay in Austria there were some very nice waterfalls in the direct
surroundings which gave me a good opportunity to test my Lee filter kit
which I recently bought.

Summerholiday in Austria. I was looking forward to this for a long time but
friday 31 Juli finally was the day. As they predicted a lot of traffic on the
European roads we decided to leave on friday and spend the night in a hotel
somewhere along the road in Germany and travel further to our destination
Abtenau in Austria on saturday.

After a whole day drive we finally ended up in the Allgau region in the south
of Germany. A beautifull region so full of lovely villages and castles that it
made us wonder if it would not be better to stay here because driving further
to Austria could only end up in an anticlimax.

We did leave the next day heading for Austria but the Allgau will certainly be
a place where we will spend one of our next holidays.
